Scholarship Purpose
The Tandy/Bernice Stroud Scholarship Fund hopes to maintain family communication; connection and supports
educational advancement for all descendants of the Stroud family. This notice will be distributed to every branch of the
lineage to ensure full participation and awareness.
Honoring Our Lineage
This year’s scholarship honors the legacy of Tandy and Bernice Stroud, whose vision for education and family
advancement was documented in the Colorado Stroud Newsletter dated October 29, 1956. Their aspirations
continue through this foundation and the generations that follow.
Recognizing Our Four Kings
The Stroud Family acknowledges and celebrates our four Kings:
• William Stroud’s Birthday – Will Start the Scholarship Program
• Uncle Joe’s Birthday – We will have an annual Celebration and announce the Scholarship Recipient(s)
• Uncle Welvin’s Birthday – All Award distributed
• Uncle Lemuel’s Birthday – A birthday gift will be included in this month; special award.
These men represent the pillars of our family’s strength, unity, and generational continuity.
